Actually, I don't recommend bonuses to my starters anymore. The WR have gone way too complicated for them. They need a place where they can peacefully concentrate on playing perfect strategy. They have usually started by playing free games some place, then the free ersion of the casino, and the first few times playing for real should definitely not be burdened by playing through WRs.
RTG software is ery fast and a good way to learn what happens if you chase your losses. (Hopefully in the free ersion). I think it definitely has it's place in the learning process for a newbie.
I think newbies need to play with several different softwares to see what appeals to them.
Most people like MG best - not me. It's individual.
I think maybe you are looking at it differently from me - I know that most of the new people going through me are hobby players - they don't really care about bonuses if they involve adding work to the play. They just want to have fun. If a truly free bonus shows up as a loyalty reward they will be happy to use it - as long as no strings are attached.
So - both opinions stand I think. It all depends on what you want from a casino...
