While I realize Microgaming has been around for a while, I've become aware of something that makes me a bit queasy about it. While I haven't analyzed it statistically (yet), I believe there is a reasonable likelihood something could be amiss.
What is it? Near misses on straight flush draws. If you draw to three of a straight flush, there appears to be non-randomness in the draw. An inordinate number of such draws seems to deliver one of the missing straight-flush cards.
Now, this is a little thing and may be done in such a way as not affect the return on the game. OTOH, *ANY* non-randomness in the game, even if benign, would be something to think about.
That said, I will tell you that I'm well ahead on Microgaming ideo poker at this time, and have also HIT an inordinate number of RF draws. But I'm a little concerned about what appears to be a degree of nonrandomness in the draw. I believe this may also be an issue on 3-card RF draws.
I would be interested in whether (a) anyone else has noticed this, and (b) whether anyone else has already done the statistics to confirm or refute my suspicion?
TIA
