I think you looking at this all wrong the internet is free of political border and if that disturbs you then go back to the colonial days.

Regard to not signing up: Fair they might have got your email from some dark person / organization but if you don’t respond then they dont profit, no harm done. But if you signed up and forgot to read the T&C then be aware next time.

In regards to getting the email, just try and do what they suggested, damn you might find that it works. Hitting unsubscribe wont confirm you a live email address if they already spamming you.
