First, admit to yourself that you are gambling. Then admit it to them. Starting out trying to claim poker isn't gambling immediately throws everything else you say into a well of distrust.
It's much easier to explain that you're gambling with an edge, and not against the house, if you don't try to pretend you're not gambling. |
