Did BW take advice from Party Pokers Laywers ?
The result of one hand of poker is luck. The result of one hundred thousand is skill. I would certainly say poker is a game of skill. However, convincing the feds of that stance would take more resources than we have, and the chances of success still aren't that great. (Have you ever tried to convince a stubborn relative or friend that you're not gambling?)
We do not use Party's lawyers.
It's funny how hard it is to persuade close family and friends about this. It actually took a lawyer-monthly-casino-whoring-boyfriend of my sisters to convince my Mother that I could make $s at this - once my sister explained bonuses to her. Even though I had told her a thousand times before.
Average friends - still sceptical - given up talking about it to them!
Semi-friends at the golf club - 5/8 of the 9-5 grinders just want me to go broke because, well because that is the way they are. So be it.
1/4 of the grinders wish they could leave their jobs, and so give me some respect for my daring, and they hope I do well.
1/8 undecided.
Retired guys - 90%+ wish me well.
