We have implemented this as a precautionary move, if our software detects you are from one of the states where online poker is illegal, then it will ask if it has detected that accurately. This move allows us to operate completely legally in the US. Being an affiliate may be illegal, if it's an affiliate of *illegal* online gambling. However, despite what the DOJ may say, the Wire Act does not make online poker illegal (the courts have backed this up) so the only thing we had to comply with was the various state laws.*
BW does have further plans, in regards to the current legal situation in the US, and I look forward to revealing those when our attorneys tell me I can.
