The ersion I played used 2 decks of cards with jokers. Jokers and dueces are wild. Usually you played with many people. I believe you started by dealing 11 cards to each player. The object was to complete each level and end with the lowest score. You complete each level by creating the melds below. Once you placed these face up on the table you could discard by adding to other people melds or your own, or create new melds. play continued until someone was completely out of cards at which point those left with cards would calculate their points. if you were able to place your melds down you advance to the next level. if not you had to continue to try to make the level you were on. The levels I remeber are as follows...
2x 3 of a kind
2x runs of 3
3 of a kind and a run of 4
2x four of a kind
3 of a kind and a run of 5
3x 3 of a kind
a run of seven
3 of a kind and a run of 6
2x runs of 4
2x 5 of a kind
a run of 9
Scoring is as follows
2-7 5pts
8-k 10 pts
A 20 pts
wild - 50 points
This game would last a long time. When someone finished all the levels if they were not low score, played continued without this person. You had to finish all the levels and be low score to win
After the cards were delt the remainder were placed on the table as a draw pile. Each person would have to draw 1 card and discard one card to a discard pile each turn. The top card on the discard pile was always available to the next player. If you had placed your melds down for your level and someone discards a card playable on any available melds. you could grab this card as long as the next player hasnt drawn yet, play the card and discard one of your own. When multiple people go for a playable discard first one there gets it..
If a player goes out without a discard everyone gets one more turn.
oh one more thing. A meld could never consist of more than 50% wild cards
