Aces require pre flop protection. If I can go all-in preflop and get action with them, I am beyond happy. Whatever the raise, it is critical to get heads-up or 2 players to the flop. At 3and 4 callers, the Aces are competing against too many hands drawing against them. They have difficulty standing up.
Generally, all-in is something you want the other guy doing.
