NO ONE likes to have to provide all of this shit, but in my long term experience of online gaming (over 7 years now), more than 60% of all sites have either required this form of identification verification OR cashouts are facilitated and expedited by providing this information to the site. This includes MAJOR sites such as Party and the old Party network sites, PokerStars, Paradise Poker, Tribeca sites, Prima sites and others. Crypto sites used to require the PIN numbers to be sent from Cyprus prior to withdrawal.
In the caser of Golden Palace, you can send in these documents to join their "preferred" player status for their online wallet service and not only will it speed up cashouts (1 day as opposed to 3/4 days before joining the preferred program), they also give you a wack of action points (for whatever they are worth) when you complete this process.
As far as I am concerned, getting your money in 1 day instead of 3/4 is MORE THAN WORTH sending in a few documents, despite whatever privacy might be given away by doing this. Any intelligent individual will conceal key information on the documents submitted and use bills/statements which make it difficult for anyone to utilize them in identity theft or fraud.
