Topic: what do u think about playing any suited cards? Forum: Card Chat

If you play suited cards you have a 6% chance to hit if you see all 5 cards. Of course that doesn't mean 6% to win since sometimes another player will have higher suited cards than you, or there will be a pair and someone will have a full house or even 4 suited cards will come and someone with a lone ace or king of the suit will beat your 2 cards. Therefore, generally playing any 2 suited cards is a losing proposition, especially against a raise or against a single opponent.

Of course limit and no-limit are different. In limit big cards and pocket pairs rule. You don't get enough implied odds to play alot of suited crap in limit usually unless they are big cards.

In No-limit you have a chance to take all of someones chips if you hit so it's sometimes worth it if you can get in cheaply and are smart enough to know when you are beat post flop. Remember about 95% of the time you will not hit so if you are playing them against raises mathematically you are going to lose in the long run.
