Hey, I've been playing poker for 2 years at FullTiltpoker and 3 at a live game at a pokeroom down the street from my condo. at Full Tilt Poker i play 10/20 NL AND 1/2 LIMIT AT the live game and 100/200 at my home games and of course there completely different games. Now the pot odds talked about are correct if you do not pay attention to pot odds you will NEVER will enough money to atleast make a comfortable living off Poker it is in the books it will never happen. Now for those who dont want to make a comfortable living at it and just make extra money pot odds arent as important and when you play low limits like 1/2 pot odds count for almost nothing unless you on flush draws up and down draws or the straight flush draws then its a pot odds factor weither you should raise or just get out. Now 7/6 Suited at higher limits like 100/200 and even 10/20 are improer cards to play one because people most of the time will play tight the higher the stakes so the pot odds will be to low for you to be raising the pot. Now ive seen many amatueurs in lower limits have 76 suited and they catch 2 of the 3 hearts needed to make a flush but before the flop the pot was raised and the board comes AKK with 2 hearts. To raise or even still be in the hand when this happens makes little to no sense and in this way yes people who fall for this are also my poker "buddies" because they lend me so much money. The reason for staying away from draws when this board happens is already your opps. probably already have the fullhouse or even quads and a smart poker player would play like he's got nothing and just smooth call till the turn or even river to get you to make your hand and lose to his nuts or 2nd nuts. so bottom line if you want to play 7/6 suited go right on ahead but dont ask for money when you go broke playing it.
