I think tight is the way.
I`ve just sat for over an hour in a $1/2 FL stud game. I started with $100 and finished with $170.
Now I know it is a one off but the more I sat and thought about the game of stud holdem, it is more important to fold before the action starts. The amount of times I was watching other guys play most hands and u could see what was happening.
They were getting into a hand that was poor but it improved on 4th street, got better on 5th and better again on 6th. However, it never got as good as the origional raiser. So I suppose they were kidding themselves.
So I think stud is a mix of losing as little as you can when u are behind in a hand, and winning as much as you can when you are ahead.
The big advantage you have in stud, IMO, is u have a better idea of what ppl are chasing.
Only my opinion.
