Topic: I've found out what I'm doing wrong in MTTs Forum: Card Chat

I've realized that when you increase your aggression in the yellow and orange zone of a MTT, it means loosening up in every way possible, from before the flop all the way down to the river. The way I was playing was I would play ery tight in the green zone, which is just fine. But I wouldn't really loosen up until I got to the red zone, where I would only lower my starting hand requirements. I mean, I would lower my starting hand requirments a bit in the yellow zone, and even more in the orange zone. But I've realized that you have to not only lower your starting hand requirements in, for example, the orange zone. You have to throw in some bluffs, make looser calls preflop, make much looser calls with even bottom pair on the flop all the way to the river. And bet weak hands on the river for alue if you believe you have the best hand. I would usually check JJ on a board of K 7 2 4 Q on the river, but late in the tournament in the orange zone, a alue bet isn't a bad play if your opponent checks to you. And I've realized that you have to gradually loosen up as you go from the yellow zone to the orange zone to the red zone, and not just wait till the red zone until you start really pushing marginal hands.
