Hi all,
Regarding the first posts as to where to learn to play I wouldn't recommend just one site to learn at, every poker room has it's good and bad points and I think playing at two three or even four different poker rooms will give you a better learning experience all round, your better off playing at as many freerolls as you can because while your learning you also have the added extra bonus that when you do become good enough your going to get some money for your troubles, better than playing for fun and winning nothing.
I would recommend you trying the most popular poker rooms because this way if you do come in the money you know you'll get paid also.
Regarding the comments about party poker this site has been around a long time now, probably one of the first big poker rooms online, I don't know if it's still run by the same people but it used to be run by the same people that runs starluck and planetluck casinos which was also run by a place called casinopinions, this place let you right reviews on casinos and get points, in return you could redeem the points once per month at one of their casinos. A couple of times they only allowed people to redeem their points at party poker so you got a lot of casino players suddenly having to play poker. The point is some of these players had no idea about poker, if they started playing bad and won then why would they stop playing bad? Makes sense. Also I have mentioned in the past that casinos have been found to alter the software in favour of the casino even more so even though they say random number generator/ certified etc....
They also use random number generators in poker too, yes you could modify these but in poker I see no reason why they would do this, the poker rooms get their cut whatever happens whereas casinos only make money if the player loses.
I think if you get a lot of bad players calling on just about anything it's only a matter of time before they lose so be patient, the better player will always come out on top in the long run and playing against idiots can be a learning experience also, if you do get a player who calls on anything and everything make notes under the players name. You can take a bunch of money of these players at times.
