Stud is a much more straightforward game than No Limit Hold 'Em. Stud doesn't call for nearly as much guessing or people reading. It's much more important to catch cards in Stud because it's ery difficult to run bluffs. You can't chase someone off the pot with an "all in". In my opinion, Hold 'Em is a more complex game than Stud, which isn't to say Stud isn't a great game. It certainly is, and deserves more attention than it's getting during this current Texas Hold 'Em craze. When I'm playing online, I play NLHE about 90% of the time. But when I'm in a 'dealer's choice' home game, I call 7-Card Stud about 90% of the time. I especially dig 7-Card Hi-Lo due to the radical shifts that can occur from card to card.
