I'd play NL50 with that bankroll. You really have about 16 buy-ins, if you understand that if you fall down to $250 BR that you have to go back to 25NL.
Personally I clear the ongame bonuses all the time, and I deposit about $500-$600 and then play NL100. I've had to redeposit one time. I can't imagine going on an 11 buy in losing streak at NL50. Mathematically it could happen, I suppose, but it's really unlikely.
