Thats a perfectly alid theory, but I think you're overlooking one important thing...99% of online poker sites do NOT make 'millions of $$$'. Many of them only have a few dozen loyal players, with barely enough income to run their sub-par site. If they only have 20 players on their higher limits at one time, and they are only breaking even with their rake because of the costs of operating, they really dont have much to lose. Of course Party Poker and Poker Stars would have a TON to lose by being corrupt in their dealing, but how about that random, small, ugly looking site that is struggling to make profit? If they set up some hands so that the pot is $100 instead of $20 by giving one player AA and the other KK, it would be a substantial increase in rake.
I try not to think of things this way, and try to play only on larger sites, but to anyone who completely dismisses any prospect of any site being at all corrupt, I hope you dont lose your bankroll when you go all in with your QQ for the 5th time against a KK and an AA
