Topic: How do you explain it? Forum: Card Chat

I think it was 2 weeks ago at a live game KillerKats KK ran into AA and AK in a 3 way all-in ! The following week i seen AA s KK twice, and all of these in live games. My J 10 (all in) last thursday after a rag flop hit runner runner 10's to take out aces, again live.

The thing is we all tend to remember the bad beats and the unlikely occurences that happen in whats basically a game of stats and numbers. Unlikely events do occur and they occur all the time. They just tend to stick in out minds when we are on the wrong end of them.

As regards online poker being fixed ? Possible but extremly unlikely. You have to ask yourself why would it be, the online sites have everything to lose. And if they were rigging the game it would only be a matter of time before they were caught.

Over a large sample of poker hands everyone will get the same hands, luck and bad luck. Part of being a quality poker player is realising when you are beat, but its the unlikely senario that is the one we tend to miss. But regardless of what we do there will always be distrust and suspission especially where there is money involved.
