They don't have a "few too many miraculous suckouts". Fact is, you tend not to remember things like AA holding up against KQ and doubling you up as much as you remember your AA getting sucked out on by KQ and knocking you out of a tourney.
Really, get pokertracker, get a decent sample size of hands and as long as you're playing them well the win percentages may well surprise you. I lost with QQ to two shitty hands last night, and I can't rememember the last time I won with it, but I can remember getting beat by crappy hands with QQ before. But if I look at PT, I have a nearly 70% win rate with it, so all is well.
