May I suggest before you enture to a live event there that you go to the local casino and try a low buy-in tourney a few times (before committing yourself in Indiana) just to get a feel for a live event.

It won't be my first live experience.

I've played about a 100, 1-table SNG's, a couple of times with a Double Shoot-Out format, and a handful of MTT's with 200 entrants or fewer.

Never played a live tourney with more than $450 buy-in or more than 200 entrants, so that will be new.

ps:Thanks to all for the replies so far
