A HUD basically just puts a players stats on the table so that you can get a general idea of how they play based on their VP$IP, PFR, AF, etc.
I also make sure to take notes on players that will help me make up my mind on any big hands that come up.
Other than that you just need to focus. Don't watch TV, don't listen to music, don't talk on IM, otherwise you'll be out of your game and it'll hurt your winrate.
I use gametime+ as well. I play 3-4 tables most of the time, I find if I add more than that I get too tight, miss opportunities, and make more misreads.
