Topic: Internet Gambling Prohibition Weakens US Revenue Base Forum: Card Chat

Unfortunately, our lawmakers are not concerned about what is good for the country. Their concern lies with lining their pockets. The only way internet poker will ever be legally acknowledged is through lobbying. Even though the report helps, it's not enough on it's own. Sorry if I'm a pessimist on this subject but I live in a state where you can go down to the local casino and legally blow thousands of dollars on house games or you can get online and legally bet thousands of dollars on horse racing or you can blow your whole paycheck buying lottery tickets but if you play penny ante poker online it's a felony. Sorry, but that's the type of law only good money can buy.
