Topic: Jungle Poker changes bonus terms Forum: Bonus Whores
Well, Jungle Poker dropped the ball. On December 5th I sent them the following email:

Hello,

A few days ago, I noticed that the clearing requirements of my bonuses as detailed in the Pending Bonus List had changed for the worse. Instead of $5 for every 40 points earned, the new requirements were listed as $5 for every 100 points earned. I contacted Live Support, who confirmed that the bonus terms have changed.

As an online poker player with many poker rooms to choose from, I am dismayed to find out that the terms of Jungle Poker's bonuses have changed. Particularly galling are the facts that players were not warned of this change in advance, and that the change is retroactive to bonuses for which the qualifying deposit has already been made. I believe that it is poor business practice on the part of Jungle Poker to change the terms and conditions while a player is in the middle of clearing a bonus. Amazingly, the Jungle Poker website continues to advertise the old terms, which I believe constitutes deceptive advertising. I have no problem with Jungle Poker deciding to change the terms for future bonuses; indeed a poker site must change their promotions as business realities and market conditions change with time. However, changing the terms of bonuses which have already been awarded is an unacceptable action.

I have played at pokersites which have not honored their agreements in the past, notably Bet365 and Absolute. After realizing the extent of their deceptive practices, I no longer play at those sites, as there are plenty of legitimate poker sites to choose from, such as PokerStars and Cake Poker.

I will be posting this email and your response to a public online poker forum. I look forward to hearing your side of the story. Perhaps I am mistaken in my interpretation of recent events.

Regards,

Michael Singh

There was no reply to my email for several days, therefore I contacted Live Support. Below is the text of our conversation:

Thank you for contacting LiveSupport!

CongoMike: My username is CongoMike. My email is xxxxxxx@gmail.com
Steven: Thank you for contacting LiveSupport, how may I help you today?
CongoMike: I have sent an email to support@junglepoker.com on December 5, but have not received a response yet.
Steven: Regarding?
CongoMike: Regarding the changed bonus terms.
Steven: You have to send an email to agosine@shaw.ca
CongoMike: OK, and who is that?
Steven: Lucky Hog management.
Support Not Available
Steven: Is there anything else I can help you with?
CongoMike: Who, or what, is Lucky Hog?
Steven: Sorry, but Im not following you, the only site that changed promotion, was Lucky Hog.
CongoMike: No, I am on Jungle Poker
Steven: Jungle have the same promotions.
Support Not Available
Steven: Is there anything else I can help you with?
CongoMike: No, the terms of my bonus on Jungle Poker changed since the time that I created an account
CongoMike: I am looking at the Pending Bonus list right now, and the clearing requirements have become much worse
Steven: The requirements are the same.
Steven: They haven't changed since the bonus were added to our promotions.
CongoMike: On the contrary. When I first deposited, the pending bonus list stated "Require 40 points to release $5". Now it says "Require 100 points to release $5". It has become worse by a factor of 2.5x
CongoMike: And this contradicts the information on Jungle Poker's own website
Steven: it's been the same all this time.
CongoMike: You, sir, are mistaken
Steven: I'm sorry but no, Im not.
CongoMike: Are you able to see my Pending Bonus List?
Steven: No.
Steven: It is only in your account.
CongoMike: Well, what is the bonus releasing rate supposed to be?
Steven: You maybe are not playing the correct stakes.
CongoMike: No, that is not the problem. The problem is that the bonus releasing rate as detailed on Jungle Poker's website is different from the rate listed in my Pending Bonus List.
Steven: Are you sure is a bonus and not restricted money?
CongoMike: I am certain. I know that the restricted $ is listed in a seperate tab in the cashier.
CongoMike: I currently have no restricted $ in my account.
Steven: Ok, send an email and we will have it check.
CongoMike: Where do I send the email to?
Steven: support@junglepoker.com
CongoMike: ok, I will send another email. But like I've said, I already sent an email on December 5, which has not yet been answered.
CongoMike: Nevertheless, I will send a second email
Steven: Ok.

I then proceeded to send them a second email on December 11 as follows:

Hello. My username is CongoMike. I have already sent an email last week; however I have not yet received a reply. I was wondering why my bonus requirements have been changed from 40 points/$5 to 100 points/$5 as shown in my pending bonus list. I would appreciate a prompt reply to my email. Thank you.

Regards,

Michael Singh

They have not responded to my second email either. I will now submit a withdrawal request for my entire balance, and contact Live Chat so that they know why I am doing so.
