LOL.... just responded to him since it was a good question that I'm sure other people would want to know as well. Maybe we can just link people to this thread in the future, and save ourselves some of the hassle.

Every 5 or 6 months I have £150 to play 30X on BJ and normally it's worth a few hundred.
Good point, actually. Didn't mention it since most people here are much more focused on poker than casino whoring.
The casino match requires a £25 (or more) deposit each month, so I eat the cost of that each month (about $1 or so based on 1.9% Neteller charge) even when I don't need to make a deposit, just to build those up. I think the idea of waiting a few months is vital too, mostly because with only £25, it is fairly easy to bust out quickly. I like having £75 - £100 in bonus money to work off, then sit down to a good whoring session to work off the WR and get the money released.
BTW, the current WR is 40x, not 30x.
And just in case anybody that isn't familiar with this is asking - the casino play comes SOLELY out of the bonus money first. They won't touch your withdrawable balance unless you run completely through the bonus money first, so the money you've deposited and won playing poker is safe, you don't have to take it out first. If you run out of bonus casino money, stop and wait until the next month. The WR requirements from the bonus money you busted on will carry over to the next month, unfortunately, but that's how it works. (And you can't withdraw any winnings from the casino play until you clear the WR, so the difference between your balance and your withdrawable balance will change based on your wins/losses in the casino.)

Good point, kind of lost that in the writeup. You would make about $25 or so if you played straight breakeven. Not bad for 1 1/2 hours or so of 4-tabling, but I hate losing that much money in conversion fees.

Pretty much was my thought process too - when I first started out, I was doing #4 on my list (end of month deposits, clear 2 months, withdrawal); but once I built up my online bankroll, I realized I was just burning a lot of fees. Leaving the money and only withdrawing winnings every couple of months there helps the bottom line - not a lot, but enough. (Plus it lets me play in some of those insanely fishy £ games that sometimes come up on the weekends, bonus or no bonus. Gotta have some money for those, though, as the swings can be pretty intense with 4 LAPs and 4 LAGS at one table.) |
