Well, I happen to know, through another forum have highlighted this in, that 'this trick' has happened to lots of other people, including someone just 14 minutes ago, in the Inter£££ tournament, who was in first for 2 weeks, until 2 mins after the tournament ended.
This is no clever tactic, but totally against the rules or spirit of such tournaments, and I intend to pursue this fully - you cannot regularily have tournaments which show the winner & that the status of it is closed, and then give the prize to someone else. I wasn't aware that the purpose of these tournaments was for Cryptologic to award prizes to the most devious exploiters of loopholes in their software.
I am also not 100% convinced about this theory being applicable here- two in a row seems an awful co-incidence, for such a tactic to be employed - after all it doesn't take an expert player to go from £1k to £33k in a roulette tourney - just luck.
