At Absolute, you need to play 100 raked hands to clear $10 of bonus money. You can fold before the flop and still have it count. As long as the pot reaches $5 and the hand is raked, you will get credt towards the bonus. It is the same system that the Party skins use to track bonus clearing.

Absolute Points are a little different. If you're playing 3/6 or above, you get 2 points for each raked hand. If you're playing 2/4 or below, you get 1 point for each raked hand. So if you are clearing the bonus playing the 3/6 or 5/10 games, you will get 2 Absolute Points per raked hand, but in terms of bonus money you are still only getting credit for one raked hand. Since you also get 4 Absolute Points for each $1 in tournament fees paid, you cannot directly correlate Absolute Points to bonus clearing status, unless you exclusively play 2/4 cash games and below.

EDIT: I've cleared $650 in bonus money at Absolute in the past couple weeks playing 2/4. I have 6900 Absolute Points (the extra 400 points are due to some time at 3/6). My VP$IP is 17%. Feel free to do the math.
