we have a winner... why not just post a link to the faq and let it go? does the flaming accomplish anything constructive?

as for my reaction to matt's flame, it seems like several of his recent posts are of this nature. perhaps my attempt to humorously shame him was inappropriate, but it was an effort show a regular poster how he comes across in a very negative light to at least one reader of these forums. what he does with that information is up to him. once there was a follow-up, i definitely attempted to make my comments clear and constructive. can you say the same?

i am sure that matt actually has a lot that he _could_ (and probably does) contribute to these forums, but the flaming takes away a lot of potential credibility.

ok, i'm off on a business trip, so i'm done with this for now. feel free to flame away.
