i have 4500 in chips average is about 5500
blinds 100/200
i'm 3 off buton and get A J all fold to me and i raise to 600.
button calls the rest fold (1500 in pot)
flop is 3 A 9 rainbow.
at this point I am a little pissed because I've had 2 great hands in last 20 min but couldn't get any money in the pot.so now I am pretty sure i'm ahead and i try to squeeze a few more chips out of the guy with a weak bet of 600.he calls. turn is a 7 and I decide pot is big enough and i bet 2500. he calls. now i know i'm in trouble but with only a few hundred left i throw it in when another blank hits the river.he calls and busts me out with his pocket 7's that made a set on turn.

I think i'm the idiot . my weak flop bet worked and he thought he was ahead with pair of 7's.then he got lucky and busted me out.
would anyone have checked and folded to a bet on river with only a few hundred left at this point in tourny???I've been pissed off about this all day.
I'll assume he had you outchipped.
He was getting 2100:600 on the flop call with you having 3300 in chips left.
So, his implied odds were 5400:600 (9:1).
However, this assumes that you don't have AA and that he will always bust you when he spikes a 7 on the turn. Even with those assumptions it's a horrible call as he's only getting 9:1 on a 22.5:1 shot.
