Played 3 tourneys in 2 days and usually I play "tight, solid, agressive" but I decided to practice being a megalomaniac just to do it. Anyways I usually finish in the money or just out of it, but at this strategy I finished 1st twice and about 17th once. Both times I won at the final table it was me 10k+ and everyone else around -3k. The first one I had 18k versus 2k heads up. Anyways the only reason I busted out of the first one was some station called all in with A6o after I raised preflop 5bb, bet at the flop of AQ3 2 hearts, turn Q, river heart.... put him all in on the river and he called... first hand I raised... anyways thats what you run into when you use this strategy I guess... but my question is really does anyone here use this in tourneys? I play tourneys sometimes just for a change of pace and always wonder how guys get those HUGE stacks and now I see how. I mean raising every single hand that isn't raised in front of you can really add up if your competition is weak. Let me know if any of you use this strategy and to what effect.
