After checking the turn with him checking behind you I might go ahead and pot bet the river and assume he had no clubs and hates the board more than you do.
(NOTE: Hard to think lucky had a set as he might have re-raised your initial bet. Which to me would mean he had top pair or maybe two-pair. If he is a chaser he might have a Ac but since the turn card came with the Ace you might be able to assume he has no clubs.) Problem with pot betting the river is he's only going to call if he has me beat. That's why I'm more focused on the turn play.
