okay... i'm finally getting live poker figured out, and have booked a few winning sessions in a row, here's a couple hands from last night:
hand 1, or, 'more AJ aggressivness'
i am once again dealt AJs, this time in the BB. there are 4 limpers before i act, and i raise. all four call.
flop is 99J
i bet out, and the utg+2 player raises, folds around to me, and i re-raise, he calls
turn is a brick, i bet out...
*********
Hand 2, or, 'don't bluff the calling stations'
i hold AQ in the SB, and raise two limpers, who call
flop is JK4
i bet, folds to the calling station that... well, calls.
turn is another K
i bet, she calls (yes, she)
river is a 2
i bet again, figuring, i raised PF, bet at he K high flop, bet the turn, no draws look like they got there, how the heck could she call with her busted draw or jack? i need to knock this shit off at 4/8.
well, there just isn't any point in trying to bluff into calling stations. grrrrr. anyone play it differently?
**********
hand 3, or 'nice try, buddy'
i am in the BB and have 5c3c, there are four limpers and i check it.
flop is 4c jc 7h
i go ahead and bet my big 'ol draw. one caller.
turn is the Jh
I bet, he calls (and now i'm sure he doesn't have a J, and now i'm thinking he's drawing too, at a flush, probably also clubs)
river is 5s
i check, and he looks at me for a sec and says: "club draw, huh?"
and bets, i call, saying, "yup, but i spiked the five on the river" big blind special.
********
well, i guess none of these are particularly intresting, other than they represent the general increse in the aggressiveness of my play, which i think has helped my live game immensely. |
