Not so much.
But if you are just starting out, I think most need to move down the loose-tight axis (using the matrix from Psychology of Poker). I think Jones' book will help with this. People starting out with more sophisticated strategies and concepts ala Miller et al are bound for confusion IMHO.
You can work on aggression from there.

Personally, I rely most heavily on Theory of Poker, but holdem is not my primary game.
