I was just saying what I would have done at 1st view - I missed the raise pre-flop.
PERSONALLY I would not have been so sure I would have gottin a raise so I could GET the reraise.
Both ways you are counting on something happening - you were counting on a raise and I was counting on a bet.
I guess the main factor is how it felt at the table - you say fairly aggressive you knew you were going to get raise.
nice job.
Quote: check raise is something that would force SOME people to stick with the hand - once someone is commited they seem to want to play it out
I feel that once some players (the fish) put $$ into a hand for one bet - they are not going to fold to a check raise. They will play at least one more card hoping to catch something. Heck - if their hand is good enough for 1 bet it's good enough for 2 bets and they don't want to WASTE a bet by folding - I rarly see anybody fold to a check raise.
It depends on where the origional bet comes from, but the guys that have not bet will fold thus increasing your chances to win the hand, the guys that bet will call the check raise to make up for the guys that folded.
The hand is nice but there are still many ways to lose it. |
