i should have raised 6th (and saved a bet on the end). thoughts?
I dunno, these types of hands always seem to do me in. Isn't this hand rather marginal? I probably would have played it about the same as you did. Why would you raise 6th? Would you be trying to drive people out? Are you thinking that you have outs to a low as well as possible to make 2pr or trips?
I might actually think about folding on 6th, aren't you only playing for likely half the pot at that point? Or are 8 outs to a maybe scoop enough? How much did you discount the outs? I don't think pairing the 6 or 8 would help. There are 2 other possible lows out there although they do seem unlikely. Another thing you do have going for you is that there is only one 9 to worry about and no Js left unseen.
I'm certainly no expert so please don't take my questions the wrong way. I'm just thinking out loud. The high portion of stud8 is certainly my weak point. |
