For me, real money, day 1. Not kidding. Not counting bonuses.
I'm not bragging but I think it all depends on your approach. When I started I played NLHE/LimitHE play money ring games and tourneys for about 2 months. Sucked at ring did pretty well at NLHE tourneys.
Found O8 right before I was about to start real money games. Deposited $50 on poker stars, read all the important O8 articles on the web (Badger, etc...) and turned it into $200 playing .02/.04 and .05/.10 Limit O8 in about a month and a half. $57 was from my first O8 MTT, got 7th place.
I'm a computer geek, programmer, etc. so maybe mind works well with this game. I didn't even know the hand rankings when I started, and only knew how to play draw....
I take a slow steady approach. I'm up to $1000 (including bonuses now) after about 4 months. Still playing micro limits but I have been flirting with .50/.50 PLO8 on PokerRoom and up to .50/1.00 Limit Stud8 on Absolute. I've stopped playing Limit O8 for now.
I guess the purpose of this is that there are too many factors to answer your question. You've made quite a bit more than I havein much less time but I have a feeling I've been studying the games in more detail and I know I'm making around 50% on bonus and 50% on play.
Whatever works for you I guess. Good luck and keep whoring. |
