I suppose it depends on the poker site (most of them are slow to enforce any kind of rules regarding ettiquette) but telling an opponent your exact hand during the hand IS against the rules in major tournaments and can get you fined or ejected from the tournament.

What's not against the rules (usually) is telling your opponent that you have a monster hand and he should fold. But if you do have a monster I think it's kind of stupid to tell someone about it.

In ring games, if it's not against a site's rules, it should be. It is NOT proper poker ettiquette (and even trying to verbally intimidate an opponent is questionable). And crying about folding a hand that would have HIT a monster while the hand is being played fits into this category. If you fold a 72 and the flop comes 222, don't go saying damn, I folded a 2 while players are still in the pot.

But of course there are plenty of people on poker sites or forums that are going to verbally abuse people and break whatever rules of ettiquette they want to because they haven't learned to grow the fuck up and act like an adult (not directed at you Tornan). So if people are going to act like a bunch of monkeys throwing shit at each other in a zoo it's just a question of which side of the glass you want to be on.
