SSHE is written specifically to cover "loose" games - when 4-8 people are going to every flop, with loose players that don't know when to fold are hanging around in a hand.

HPFAP is better for the higher limit games, where the players "play better", and you don't have tables filled with morons. Online, I believe HPFAP comes more into play as you move into the $3/$6 games and beyond... in the real world, more like $10/$20+.

They both have their place... you have to adapt your style to the players involved in a game, and each teaches you information that will help you.
