Too many people rely on the stats to make every decision for them. Until you have several hundred hands on somebody, not all stats are accurate. Heck, I've played tables where I got a lot of above average starting cards, and then had got sucked out on a lot and lost quite a few hands. Suddenly my stats are showing a 35-40% VP$IP, 12% PFR, and a W$SD of around 20% after 60 hands. If you relied on those stats, you would be dead wrong playing against me.
I use stats as a "backup" to what I'm already observing at the table. |
