Topic: First post, silly question Forum: Bonus Whores

I know this question is very very basic but I've been looking over this site for the last two hours trying to gain a better understanding of whoring.

I just started playing real money poker last week, mostly .05/.10 and .10/.20 NL 6-seaters...started with $20 and have won a little bit each day (only play an hour or two each night) and am up to $97.21. I play on GoldenPalace.

So, I just got a reload offer (200% up to $50) from them and looked into it and stumbled across this site.

Should I deposit another $50 and play tight to break even until my action points are cleared and I keep the $100 bonus? I'm just starting out, so I'm just happy to have made $80 this week...want to be careful not to lose it all.

I'm trying to figure out the basic idea of whoring...I mean, if you're good at poker aren't you better off just playing and making money that way rather than trying to fulfill play obligations to make $100?
