i'm still undecided.
lets assume:
ub or absolute 1/2 = $4/hr in bonus
if i make 2BB/hr on party and 0.5BB/hr on ub or absolute i'm still better off clearing the bonus-dollars on ub or absolute (as opposed to playing with no bonus on party).
now, if we consider that i might clear $5/hr on ub/absolute, and i might make only 1.5BB/hr on party...then clearing the bonus is CLEARLY advantageous IF you don't have any other more profitable bonuses to clear.
i'm just doing the math here...i'm kind of frustrated too on these sites so i'm still debating which direction to go.
the fact that i get a rake-rebate on party/empire is also a consideration.
fwiw - i do pretty well at stars during the bonuses. i just don't think it's the rock-fest that it has a reputation for being...i've found some really fishy players there (example: i was playing there before i knew what the terms 'nuts', 'muck', and 'flop' meant) and some really fishy games.
i think absolute and stars bonus-clearing might both be more advantageous is you are comfortable playing on the 6-max tables at 2/4 or 3/6. i've had a bit of success on those.
the other consideration is that you don't HAVE to paly at these sites right now. you can deposit and get the bonus-dollars and stock-pile them for a day when you like the games better and/or they get fishier.
UB and Stars bonus-dollars never expire. AP bonus-dollars supposedly expire after 60 days according to their T&C's but we don't 100% know that they will actually kill them.
