Though I am new to this whole deal (not only whoring, but poker in general); I am having the same experience, but on a smaller scale... My LHE "career" so far conists of (in order of appearance) 1) PartyPoker 1050 raked ($.5/1) 2) PartyPoker 500 raked ($.5/1) 3) PokerPlex 300 dealt ($1/2) 4) InterPoker 450 raked ($1/2) 5) PokerPlex 300 dealt ($1/2) 6) Empire, currently under way... (some $1/2 and $.5/1) Interestingly enough, I have so far been loosing money at Party/Empire (about half of both the first 2 party bonuses, and currently doing worse than that on my first Empire bonus) while actually earning money while clearing the Crypto bonuses... And yet I keep hearing over and over that Party skins have the biggest fish... At first I figgured it was because I was a complete newbie when I started Party, and that I had gained at least a LITTLE experience by the time I hit Crypto... but now I am back to Empire and am down down down. I know this is a microscopic set of stats, and I have the feeling my earnings at Crypto are a bit of a fluke... ...but still, I have to wonder: perhaps there is something about the Party type of play that I just cannot handle, while the Crypto sites (though possibly less fishy) suit my style of play better? I definately need to invest in PokerTracker a.s.a.p to possibly spot some unconscious changes in my own play that I make between the sites. The way this is going, I am very likely to loose more than the bonus amount too, even though I play at lower limits. |
