The Empire account closures don't seem to be about multiple accounts at all though, right? From the wording in their e-mail, it sounds like they would shut you down even if you only have a single account at Empire, but never ever play there apart from clearing a bonus, and cashing out right afterwards...

That's the rumor.
I believe it was Jan or Feb of 2004 when they started making it more difficult to sign up at multiple skins. After that people simply signed up on another computer, created another XP account or did the registry edit. Even then, they were perfectly fine with your other accounts, with CS referencing them in phone calls and emails. These account closures are the first indication (that I am aware of) where a member of the Party Network has expressly foribben this to take place. |
