Based on the posts I just read in this thread, it seems that several people care.

It's up to you to determine whether or not you consider them "lame" for doing so. They're not going to view themselves as lame, because they - just like you! - are thinking and behaving in what they believe is the right way. Perhaps opinions other than yours have some merit and deserve more than a knee-jerk "lame" reaction.
