I CAN beat them in the long run. I've beat them consistently enough in the past. But this is getting ridiculous. I've been playing Bodog for awhile. I've never seen such gang mentality Donkishness.
Very often a raise is seen as some sort of challenge so instead of decreasing your opponent pool it often increases it. Seriously, sometimes I think it's better not to raise a hand like QQ at some of the more outrageous tables. Crazy, I know. But at some tables a raise just entices them to call when sometimes they'd just fold. Don't beleive me if you want, but this happens a fair amount. Well, with 5 or 6 callers going to the river (and reraising with anything) that QQ needs a lot of help. What about value? Yes, you create value--for all the chasing donks, which is just about every Bodog player.
It's not ALWAYS like this at Bodog, but very often it is. Chase it all down to the river. I mean Everything. 72o and they catch a 2 on the flop- to the river. A dream, or a nightmare, you decide, but I think I'm going to create an Absolute account for a change of pace. I love to see a chaser or two donking away at me, that's the best I could ask for! But when it's the WHOLE table chasing...
I play 1/2 to 3/6 limit. SH 1/2 I dominate. It's easy to isolate the donks at 6 max tables and make them pay. It's ironic that FR is where I used to do better. In any case I'm starting to think that LIMIT is a game that was especially created for the donks at Bodog. Maybe playing NL there is a better choice in the current atmosphere. |
