Hello everybody,

personnally I use a method very similar to what Lorenza propose.

I play online poker running the poker clients from a personnal account which is no more than a guest account, except that I have given it more privileges on the poker client directories only (system is Windows XP). This seems to be necessary because some clients (Party poker for example) write Hand History on your Hard Disk; or -more important- because when there is a software upgrade they should be able to replace the files from the previous version (so you have to give rights not only on the directories used for hand histories).

This seems to me a good way to limit the trouble you could be running into in case there was a malware inside the client... Normally it would only have guest privilege when running on your machine , and could not corrupt registry or other directories.

This should work for Everest, Party, Tiger, and the iPoker Network. Being a poker newbie -5 months experience- I have not tried all networks...
